Mehcatronics II: Traffic Lights

In this lab we utilized NI’s LabView and myRIO platforms in order to simulate a traffic intersection consisting of two one-way streets. We have two experimental setups: One where the logic of our code is processed on the RT controller and data is passed to and from the FPGA to control physical outputs, and another setup where the both the logic and I/O are implemented on the FPGA. We created a web-service application that can interact and control our real time platform from a remote location. We implemented a sixteen bit counter in labview whose frequency is controlled by a pre-scaler input.

This assignment was completed by Saadia Razvi and Stephen Garza for Advanced Mechatronics, taught by Dr. Benito Fernandez in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at UT Austin.
