Gantry Highway Display
The Gantry Highway Display consists of five small screens, each assembled from 8×4 modules. Each module has a resolution of 8×8 pixels and measures 250×250 mm, capable of displaying Chinese, English, numbers, and icons. The display system provides dynamic route guidance within its coverage area by directing vehicles and offering travel information to motorists. Primarily used on highways and at tunnel entrances, the system alerts drivers to current road conditions, such as upcoming construction, road conditions ahead, accident locations, strong winds, dense fog, and speed limit signs; it can also display graphics and speed limits to help drivers better understand current road conditions. Additionally, it serves as a guide on urban roads to prevent drivers from taking wrong turns due to unfamiliarity, avoid traffic congestion, and reduce the occurrence of traffic accidents.

Gantry Mounted LED Display
The gantry display is an outdoor traffic-specific LED information board installed above gantries along highways or urban expressways. Gantry Mounted LED Display is used for disseminating traffic information, issuing road condition warnings, providing speed limit reminders, and guiding traffic incidents, serving as a core electromechanical component in smart transportation systems. The gantry display receives information from the monitoring and management computer and can display text in Chinese or English, numerical data, and icons. Its control unit can store at least 100 pieces of information, which operators can access at any time; furthermore, operators can perform full-screen arbitrary editing, status monitoring, and control operations directly from the monitoring and management computer (as illustrated in the figure below).
Features of the Portal Frame Display System
The text displays the following:It supports remote transmission of Chinese characters, numbers, and letters, and offers a variety of playback effects—including static display, left/right and up/down scrolling, flashing, and fade-in effects. Gantry Mounted LED Display is ideal for disseminating traffic updates, such as: upcoming congestion, road construction, accident warnings, and weather alerts (rain, fog, or ice).
Traffic signs and graphic displays:Support the display of national standard traffic icons—including speed limit signs, lane change prohibition signs, lane closure signs, and directional arrow indicators—to enable lane control, temporary speed limit enforcement, and vehicle diversion guidance.
Remote Control Feature:
Supports communication protocols such as Ethernet and 4G to connect to the traffic monitoring center platform. The monitoring center can remotely distribute programs, switch playback content, and trigger scheduled playback scenarios.
Temperature Control Function:
The chassis integrates heating and cooling modules. In low-temperature environments, Gantry Mounted LED Display automatically activates heating to prevent condensation; in high-temperature environments, it activates a cooling fan to ensure stable operation across both high and low temperature ranges, enabling uninterrupted outdoor operation 24/7. The modular design allows each module to operate independently, so that localized damage does not affect the display of the rest of the screen, facilitating rapid on-site repair and replacement.
Protective Features:
IP65 protection: waterproof and dustproof; the enclosure is corrosion-resistant and powder-coated, featuring lightning protection and salt spray resistance, making Gantry Mounted LED Display suitable for outdoor environments such as heavy rainfall, intense sunlight, and frost conditions.
Event induction:
When a traffic accident occurs, issue a warning to advise drivers to slow down and change lanes to prevent secondary accidents.
Key pain points addressed by the gantry display system for customers
Delayed dissemination of road condition information prevents drivers from anticipating potential risks in advance.
The gantry-mounted display provides early information dissemination with long-range visibility. Alerts regarding traffic congestion, accidents, rain, fog, ice, or road construction are issued in advance to guide vehicles to reduce speed, change lanes, or divert traffic, thereby reducing the incidence of rear-end collisions and secondary accidents.
Temporary traffic controls, speed limits, and lane management are difficult to implement promptly.
The central platform enables remote one-click distribution of emergency response plans and real-time updating of national standard traffic signage—such as speed limits, lane closures, and lane-changing prohibitions—eliminating the need for on-site signage replacement. This facilitates rapid response to emergencies and achieves dynamic traffic management.
At night, the screen may be too bright, causing glare that can interfere with the driver's vision; during the day, the brightness may be insufficient, making it difficult to see clearly.
It features an automatic light-sensitive brightness adjustment function that dynamically adjusts the brightness in response to ambient lighting conditions. During daytime under strong light, Gantry Mounted LED Display ensures clear recognition from a distance; at night, Gantry Mounted LED Display automatically reduces the brightness to eliminate glare, while also lowering power consumption and extending the LED’s service life.
Traffic incidents and playback records cannot be retained, resulting in a lack of traceability evidence.
Automatically record playback logs and device operation logs, and archive all published information to support incident post-mortem analysis and traffic data analysis, thereby meeting the archival management requirements for traffic management projects.
The installation space for the gantry frame is limited, making hoisting and construction particularly challenging.
The top of the cabinet features designated lifting points; Gantry Mounted LED Display employs a modular, split-assembly design, with each individual module being lightweight, enabling convenient on-site lifting and installation, and making it well-suited to the on-site construction requirements of high-speed gantry systems.
Wiring Instructions for the Portal Frame Display Screen

1.Red line — front line;
2.Black line — neutral line;
Yellow line — ground line.
Wiring instructions for the enclosure:
The display screen is composed of multiple individual screens; these screens must be interconnected to form a large display unit. The power cable passes through a hole located on the lower side inside the enclosure; the live wire of the power cable is connected to the live wire (brown), the neutral wire to the neutral wire (blue), and the ground wire to the ground wire (yellow), as illustrated in the figure below. Between the modules of the two screens, the color signal cable also passes through a corresponding hole, and the four rows of modules are then connected accordingly. The color signal cable also passes through a hole located on the upper side inside the enclosure.
Gantry Mounted LED Display Product Installation
When installed inside a tunnel, the equipment may be hoisted using a support frame, as shown in the left figure; when installed outside the tunnel, Gantry Mounted LED Display is typically mounted on a gantry frame, as shown in the right figure.
