Aluminium Road Studs
A key feature of Aluminum Road Studs is that the control circuits for each stud are centralized within a single control box; a single control system can effectively manage a distance of up to 500 meters. Aluminum Road Studs are suitable for installation on winding mountain roads, roads with dense tree cover, and roads with limited sunlight. They play an irreplaceable role in applications such as tunnels and mountain roads.

Cast Aluminum Active Road Stud
The aluminum-cast active guide studs are a type of active-illuminating tunnel-induced contour marker. Unlike conventional reflective guide studs, they are powered by an external power supply to drive LED illumination. These studs are primarily installed on tunnel side walls, service lanes, and road edges to provide dynamic visual lane contour guidance for vehicles in operation. This design mitigates the “visual black hole” effect caused by alternating light and dark conditions within tunnels, thereby enhancing driving safety in tunnel environments. They constitute the core component of tunnel electromechanical guidance systems. (As illustrated in the figure below)
Features of Cast Aluminum Active Rail Fasteners
Active luminescence guidance:Utilizing built-in LEDs for self-illumination—without relying on vehicle headlights’ reflections—it clearly delineates lane boundaries and service road contours in low-visibility conditions such as tunnel environments, heavy fog, or rainy nights, thereby indicating the road boundaries.
Available multi-color lighting options:Yellow and white are commonly used for lane indication; red and green may be used to mark emergency lanes, escape lanes, and fire access lanes for warning purposes.
Single-sided / Double-sided lighting:Single-sided lighting oriented toward the direction of traffic; the dual-sided version provides bidirectional guidance, making Cast Aluminum Active Road Stud suitable for bidirectional tunnels and interchange ramps.
Changliang Mode:The light source remains continuously illuminated, providing static marking of the road contours, making Cast Aluminum Active Road Stud suitable for routine daily use in tunnels.
Synchronous strobe mode:All track spikes along the entire line flash in unison to enhance visual warnings, alerting drivers to changes in road conditions (e.g., tunnel entrances and exits, curves, and lane-changing areas).
Flowing display of flashing lights (rotating display):The lighting illuminates sequentially along the direction of travel, creating a dynamic flow guide that provides drivers with a strong sense of lane orientation prediction, thereby enhancing their focus while driving in long tunnels.
One-click mode switching:Switch between the steady-on and flashing modes across various scenarios, such as normal traffic flow, fire emergency response, and traffic control.
Fully sealed, waterproof, and dustproof:The entire unit is sealed with adhesive, featuring an IP65 protection rating, making Cast Aluminum Active Road Stud resistant to tunnel spray rinsing and wall condensation and water accumulation.
Resistant to compaction and impact:Die-cast aluminum high-strength housing, capable of withstanding vehicle rolling loads and gravel impacts, making Cast Aluminum Active Road Stud suitable for installation on road surfaces and maintenance access roads.
Cast aluminum active rail fasteners address the key pain points of our customers.
Poor visibility in low-light environments
This product emits light autonomously, eliminating the need for supplementary vehicle lighting; Cast Aluminum Active Road Stud ensures long-range visibility in all weather conditions, thereby addressing the safety hazards associated with tunnel-induced visibility deficiencies at their root cause.
Addressing the "black-and-white hole effect" in tunnels to mitigate high operational risks
The active bollard high-intensity lighting creates a continuous induced light band, ensuring a smooth transition between light and dark areas to minimize visual contrast, thereby enhancing the sense of safety for vehicles on entrance and exit road sections.
Addressing tunnel moisture and the risk of water ingress damage during spray rinsing operations.
The entire unit is internally sealed with adhesive, featuring an IP65 high protection rating, and is resistant to water, moisture, and spray. Cast Aluminum Active Road Stud is designed to operate in the harsh and humid conditions of tunnels, thereby reducing the rework rate.
The vehicle may sustain damage from being run over or from impact with gravel.
Die-cast aluminum high-strength casings offer superior resistance to crushing, impact, and wear, resulting in an extended service life and reduced costs associated with frequent replacements.
Wiring Instructions for Cast Aluminum Active Rail Bolts

DC12V:
1. Brown line: Positive terminal
2. Blue line: Negative electrode
Installation Instructions
Typically, these are installed along the roadside line (installation in the middle of the roadway is not recommended to avoid excessive vehicle impact forces that could damage the road studs). Installation Steps
1. Positioning: First, use a ruler to determine the installation positions, ensuring that all positions lie along a single straight line; the installation distances shall comply with the design requirements; the installation area must be level, dry, clean, and free of gaps.
2. Mixing adhesive: Use Road Fastener-Specific Adhesive A and Road Fastener-Specific Adhesive B, with a ratio of A to B of 1:1 (e.g., 1 kg of Adhesive A and 1 kg of Adhesive B). Ensure the adhesives are thoroughly mixed to achieve a uniform color.
3. Applying adhesive: Before installation, the road surface must be thoroughly cleaned. Use an appropriate amount of adhesive to ensure firm adhesion to the underside of the road studs without excessive spilling; approximately 40–50 g of adhesive should be applied to the underside of each road stud and placed in the pre-marked positions. After installation, all debris on the road surface must be cleared away.
4. Inspection: After two hours, the installed track spikes shall be thoroughly inspected.
5. Road closure: Cast Aluminum Active Road Stud is recommended to close the road for 6 hours to ensure sufficient curing time for the adhesive.
matters need attention
Do not touch the area near the lamp; avoid allowing adhesive to adhere to the housing, as this may compromise the luminous performance! Installation is prohibited in environments containing water, humidity, or oil contamination, as this may cause the mounting fasteners to detach. Remove the traffic cone after 4 hours of installation.
Cast Aluminum Active Road Stud Usage Precautions
This product features an aluminum casing; heavy pressure should be strictly avoided to prevent damage to the casing. The device must be powered on only under the supervision of a qualified professional; do not disassemble or assemble the luminaire without authorization.
