Solar Wireless Traffic Light System
Solar Wireless Traffic Light System refers to a system in which traffic signals and the traffic signal controller are controlled wirelessly, eliminating the need for municipal 220V wiring. These systems are powered by solar energy, have no wired connections, and rely on radio frequency or Internet of Things (IoT) communication to synchronize traffic signal timing. They are commonly used at construction sites, in rural areas, and at emergency intersections.

Solar Wireless Traffic Light System
The solar-powered wireless traffic light s Solar Wireless Traffic Light System ystem consists of four sets of full-cycle motor vehicle signal heads, solar panels, and a solar-powered mobile control box. This system requires no cable installation nor connection to the mains power supply; Solar Wireless Traffic Light System operates solely on solar energy storage.is primarily designed for temporary intersections, road construction sites, and emergency power outages, enabling the rapid deployment of temporary traffic signal systems.
Product Features
Motor vehicle traffic signal (red, yellow, green):The 4-group motor vehicle full-round signal system enables the switching of standard traffic signals for two-way operation at intersections – stopping at red, proceeding at green, and warning at yellow – thereby standardizing the flow of vehicles at intersections and aligning with the fixed municipal traffic signal logic.
Intelligent signal timing control:The control box for the solar-powered wireless traffic light system incorporates an integrated signal processor, allowing users to customize the duration of red, green, and yellow lights; it also supports a nighttime flashing mode (where the yellow light remains continuously flashing during periods of low traffic volume to remind vehicles to slow down and stay vigilant).
Solar self-powered energy storage:Solar panels capture light energy and convert it into electrical energy, which is stored in the built-in battery within the control box; the system charges automatically during daylight hours and relies on the battery to provide continuous power on cloudy or rainy days – requiring no external mains power supply or wiring.
Multiple lights – synchronized coordination:The complete solar-powered traffic light system features automatic phase synchronization for all four light heads, enabling synchronized switching of opposing signal lights at intersections and implementing standard traffic signal logic for crossroads.
Temporary intersection traffic management:For road construction projects, emergency road repairs, newly built roads where formal traffic signals have not yet been installed, or temporary intersections in townships or industrial areas, rapidly deploy standardized traffic signal control systems to prevent vehicles from rushing through intersections and to avoid traffic congestion.
Emergency power outage backup:When the conventional municipal traffic lights fail due to a power outage, this system serves as an emergency backup device to rapidly restore traffic control at intersections and prevent traffic accidents.
Core pain points that can be addressed for clients
Temporary intersections cannot be connected to the mains power supply; this results in high wiring installation costs and a lengthy project duration.
The solar-powered traffic light system operates entirely on solar energy, eliminating the need for road excavation, cable installation, or connection to the municipal power grid; Solar Wireless Traffic Light System can be assembled upon arrival and put into service immediately, thereby avoiding wiring approval processes and the associated labor and material costs, and significantly reducing deployment time.
Solution: Road construction projects, emergency repairs, or newly built intersections require immediate traffic control measures, but the installation of standard traffic lights cannot be completed in time.
The product enables rapid deployment; its four sets of light heads can simultaneously generate standard red, yellow, and green traffic signals for intersections, quickly enhancing intersection traffic management capabilities, preventing vehicles from cutting through traffic or triggering frequent accidents, and meeting short-term, temporary traffic control requirements.
Address power outages or equipment failures at existing municipal traffic lights, which have led to the loss of signal-based traffic control at intersections and posed significant safety risks.
The Weidi Mei Solar Wireless Traffic Light System can serve as an emergency backup signaling device; when the mains power fails, Solar Wireless Traffic Light System can be quickly activated to restore traffic flow at intersections within a short period, thereby preventing congestion and traffic accidents caused by the absence of signal coverage.
Address the issue of limited on-site space where a single integrated traffic light cart cannot be installed or is difficult to position.
The split-design allows the signal head, solar panel, and control box to be installed separately and independently – whether mounted on a pole or on a wall – making Solar Wireless Traffic Light System ideal for use at construction barriers, narrow intersections, or confined construction sites. This design is not limited by site space constraints and offers a broader range of application scenarios compared to integrated mobile traffic signal systems.
Addressing inadequate power supply at remote intersections located in rural areas, suburban zones, industrial sites, or industrial parks.
Integrated photovoltaic and energy storage system – automatically stores electricity during daylight hours; the battery ensures continuous operation even on cloudy or rainy days, makingSolar Wireless Traffic Light System ideal for outdoor applications without grid connectivity. This solution results in zero electricity costs over time and offers strong cost-effectiveness for long-term use.
Improper visibility of signal lights under strong lighting conditions; increased susceptibility of outdoor equipment to failure and increased maintenance complexity.
Equipped with high-brightness LED beads, it offers a long daytime visibility range; the housing is dust-and water-resistant, making Solar Wireless Traffic Light System suitable for outdoor environments with rain, snow, or extreme temperatures, featuring a low failure rate and requiring simple routine maintenance.
Solar Wireless Traffic Light System Wiring Instructions
Traffic light junction:
The lighting fixture connector must be matched with the cable connector (four-port connector matching).
Solar panel connectors:
Connect the solar panel connector to the solar cable connector interface.
Control Box Connection:
Lighting fixtures, battery enclosures, and solar panels must all be properly connected to the control enclosure’s interface (just follow the on-screen instructions for connection).
Battery box connector:
Connect the battery terminal cable to the battery housing.
Control Box Connection:
After all wiring is connected, open the control cabinet and press the Confirm button; the red/green indicator light will then indicate that the device is now operational.
Solar Wireless Traffic Light System Product Installation
1.Sunshade cap installation:
The shading cap is installed on the upper part of the lamp; fold a triangular aluminum plate into an arc shape and fit it over the lamp, then tighten it using M4 screws by aligning them with the corresponding holes.
2.L-shaped bracket installation:
2.1 Both ends of the luminaire are equipped with a screw; loosen the nut attached to the screw.
2.2 Fit the flat end of the L-shaped bracket onto the screw according to the hole position and groove, then tighten the nut.
2.3 Pass a long screw through the lamp post, then sleeve an L-shaped bracket over the screw; finally, tighten both ends of the lamp post using nuts and bolts.
4.Controller clamp installation:
Insert the M10 screw through the aluminum groove on the back of the product, then fit a clamp around the vertical rod; finally, pass the screw through the screw holes at both ends of the clamp and secure it using a nut and a washer.
3.Solar panel installation:
Secure two solar panels to both ends of a long support bracket using M12 screws, then mount them onto a square support bracket and fasten them in place with screws; finally, attach the assembled solar panels to the vertical pole.
Solar Wireless Traffic Light System Usage Precautions
This product features an aluminum casing; heavy pressure should be strictly avoided to prevent damage to the casing. The device must be powered on only under the supervision of a qualified professional; do not disassemble or assemble the luminaire without authorization.
